Politiche commerciali di downsizing dei vari Brand automobilistici (non è che sia solo un "problema" di Bmw).
Poi c'è anche chi sostiene che venga fatto effettivamente per abbattere le emissioni inquinanti....ed ovviamente mi chiedo che impatto possano avere a livello di numeri le produzioni di auto sportive rispetto alla produzione di massa. :neutral_think:

Il Gruppo Peroni ha annunciato la creazione della V8 Cup, nuova categoria pronta ad accogliere i transfughi della defunta Superstars. Nel comunicato si parla di "parco macchine nazionale di 40 vetture, ora prive di una serie di riferimento"; le gare si disputeranno in concomitanza con la Coppa Italia.
Si vocifera però anche sulla nascita di un nuovo Trofeo Turismo all'interno dei weekend ACI-CSAI che dovrebbe prevedere anche una categoria dedicata proprio alle vetture V8.

SuperTouringSeries to be launched at Autosport International 2014
4th December, London: The new ‘SuperTouringSeries’ will be launched on Thursday, 9th January, 2014 at the Autosport International show at The NEC in Birmingham.
Motorsport stalwart Daniel Audetto was recently appointed CEO of London based Pan Asia Racing Enterprise Ltd (PARE Ltd) and is a director of the new series. It is inspired by the 'SUPERSTARS International Series', a protagonist of European track racing which featured some of the world's most magnificent high-performance cars (up to 600 horse-power) and attracted drivers such as Vitantonio Liuzzi, Johnny Herbert, Mika Salo, Giancarlo Fisichella , Johan Kristofferson and 2013 SUPERSTARS champion Gianni Morbidelli.
The new SuperTouringSeries logo, official partners, participating teams, technical and sporting regulations, race weekend format and final 2014 calendar will be revealed on the series stand at the Autosport racing car show in the New Year. The premium touring car series, comprising top of the range V8 vehicles by manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes and Porsche, shall present a schedule of events with an attractive shared business model dedicated to selected teams.
Daniel Audetto adds, "I am very happy to take leadership of the SuperTouringSeries dedicated to such fabulous cars. I have already had two meetings in London and Milan with 16 prestigious international teams and am confident that we will have eight brands represented from Europe, Japan and America. I hope to persuade Maurizio Flammini to join our team in the near future. Together with the highly experienced people who have been at the core of SUPERSTARS created by Maurizio several years ago, we know we can develop and deliver an innovative and extremely exciting series at international level.”
Quindi come anticipato nelle indiscrezioni fatte trapelare da Italiaracing.net, la Superstars riparte da Londra. Per maggiori dettagli non ci resta che aspettare Lunedi'.

Intanto Tonio Liuzzi è in Giappone a provare la Honda per il Campionato Super GT! Che voglia seguire le orme del cognato Andrea Caldarelli, emigrato in Giappone appunto e pilota ufficiale Lexus???
